USS Constitution ("Old Ironsides") is the last of the original six frigates commissioned by Congress for America’s first Navy in 1794, and the world’s oldest commissioned naval vessel afloat. Presenter Captain Chris Melhuish USN (ret), NHS member and former Commanding Officer of the Constitution, will share highlights of the frigate’s storied history leading up to her unique designation by the US Congress as “America’s Ship of State”.
