Craney Island Days at Fort Norfolk

Historic Fort Norfolk (801 Front Street) will be open on Saturday, June 22 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM to commemorate the 206th anniversary of the Battle of Craney Island, which took place just offshore on June 22, 1813. American victory that day saved the cities of Norfolk and Portsmouth from British invasion and occupation during the War of 1812. There will be military and civilian re-enactors, weapons demonstrations and guided tours.

The Fort will be open on Sunday, June 23 from noon until 4:00 PM for tours.
