George Washington (1732-1799) was one of the Founding Fathers of the United States, and its first President. He commanded the Continental Army in the American Revolutionary War, leading it to victory in America's struggle for freedom from British rule. And he was, proudly, a Virginian. 

A very special presenter, Jim Guy, will appear to us as George Washington on July 11. Jim is a middle school social studies teacher whose father, Louis Guy, was the founder and namesake of the NHS Second Wednesday History Series.
