Though greatly outnumbered, Americans achieved a decided victory over British troops at the Battle of Craney Island on 22 June 1813. War of 1812 re-enactors will celebrate that victory on June 23 and 24, 2018 at Fort Norfolk. Visitors will learn more about the important battle and what life was like for a soldier or sailor during the War of 1812. Hours are 10 AM to 4 PM each day. Event is free and open to the public.
