Wythe Holt, Professor Emeritus of Law, University of Alabama School of Law, will tell us about the life of Hampton native George Wythe, portraying him as a rebel. Wythe was a signer of the Declaration of Independence, America’s first professor of law, and a prominent jurist in the young nation. He was influential in the Second Continental Congress, where he helped forward the notion of American independence. Mr. Holt, a descendant of Wythe, will bring us more about the life of this early Patriot on the 210^th anniversary of Wythe’s death.
